El cambio recién empieza

Curioso lema de campaña de la recién lanzada candidata presidencial argentina, Cristina Fernández, luego de más de cuatro años en el poder.
Lo mismo pensaron nativos y foráneos que, antes de la Revolución Cubana, apoyaron incondicionalmente a Fidel Castro y sus guerrillas cuando se tuvo noticia del inminente golpe para derrocar a Fulgencio Batista, a comienzos de 1959.

Lo que nadie podía imaginarse - mucho menos los propios cubanos- era lo que sobrevendría después, es decir la inmediata degradación de los propósitos de la revolución y las reales intenciones de Castro y su camarilla: la apropiación del gobierno por la fuerza, el atroz sometimiento del pueblo a un régimen marxista-leninista, y la ambición de perpetuarse indefinidamente en el poder, con sus horrendas consecuencias.

Poco a poco la isla caribeña se fue convirtiendo en la más terrible de las cárceles, donde varios millones de sereshumanos se fueron acostumbrando a perder sus libertades individuales y -con mucha frecuencia- perder la vida ante la imposibilidad de defender los derechos más elementales. El caso más patético que aún existe es el de la médica Hilda Molina, cuya salida del país le es negada por sostener las autoridades actuales que su cerebro es “propiedad” y “patrimonio” del estado cubano. Aun si esta razón fuera atendible, lo que resulta incomprensible es la negación a la madre de esta médica, Hilda Morejón, de 88 años y en silla de ruedas, del “permiso” para salir de la isla-cárcel y visitar a su familia en Argentina. En el caso de Morejón, aparentemente, el desalmado gobierno cubano, no tendría ningún reclamo que hacer en cuanto a ser propietario de alguna parte de su anatomía.

El “paraíso” caribeño es un sitio al que nadie ajeno puede acceder, a menos que consiga la autorización de los que comandan sus destinos desde hace medio siglo, pero tampoco nadie propio puede salir sin correr el riesgo de dejar la vida en el intento. Irónicamente, los que disfrutan de semejantes “beneficios” suelen preferir perder la vida ahogados en el mar o devorados por los tiburones antes que continuar en dicho “paraíso”.

La relación cubano-argentina es grande e importante en la historia, pero nos referiremos sólo a los últimos años. Desde el comienzo mismo del régimen, en los años 60, ya Argentina tenía milicias cubanas trabajando para la subversión en el norte del país. Aquellos primeros se llamaron Uturuncos. La infiltración continuó lenta pero sostenidamente hasta el baño de sangre que significaron los ERP y Montoneros de los años 70, entrenados y financiados por el régimen caribeño, cuyo objetivo era extender la “revolución” a toda la región.
En el año 1973 asumió la presidencia argentina Héctor J. Cámpora. En su asunción estuvo presente Osvaldo Dorticós, por aquellos años presidente cubano, ya que Fidel se había reservado el cargo de “primer ministro”. La llegada de Cámpora, con Dorticós a su lado, marcó el comienzo del desmadre, cuando fueron liberaron todos los terroristas, que -con la ley en la mano- se había logrado encarcelar. Y a partir de esta actitud, una tremenda y sangrienta guerra civil, jamás reconocida como tal.

Un presidente constitucional, posterior al gobierno militar, no dudó en “prestarle” a Fidel el dinero de todos los argentinos. Algo así como 1.400 millones de dólares que jamás volvieron, ni creemos que hayan sido utilizados para mejorar el estado de los habitantes de la isla.

Treinta años después -mayo de 2003, comienzo del kirchnerato-, las aproximaciones a la izquierda nacional -ex terroristas ocupando cargos en todos los estamentos del poder, madres y abuelas paseándose orondamente por la Casa Rosada mientras ‘asesoran’ al presidente en todo tipo de cuestiones y reciben prebendas a cambio, ministra de defensa desintegrando lo poco que queda de nuestras fuerzas armadas-, e internacional -’lazos fraternos’ con Cuba, Venezuela y Bolivia y un largo etcétera- resulta entonces razonable preguntarnos cuál es el cambio que recién comienza. Obviamente, el predominio de “derechas” en los países centrales, que puede significar importantes aprietes a nuestra economía, y la ambición de convertirse en una especie de “Eva reciclada”, no permitirán que la “señora” vire demasiado hacia la izquierda.

Sin embargo, casi seguramente seguiremos sufriendo la presión de los ex compañeros de militancia de madame K, esa “izquierda caviar” fiel discípula de nuestro ¿compatriota? Ernesto Guevara de la Serna, más conocido como el ‘Che’, lugarteniente durante años del “comandante” Fidel y quien pintó patéticamente la ideología que los movía al enviar en 1967 un mensaje a la Organización de Solidaridad para los pueblos de Asia, Africa y America Latina (Olas), que decía textualmente: “El odio como factor de lucha, el odio intransigente al enemigo, que impulsa más allá de las limitaciones naturales del ser humano y lo convierte en una eficaz, violenta, selectiva y fría máquina de matar. Nuestros soldados tienen que ser así: un pueblo sin odio no puede triunfar sobre un enemigo brutal”.

Por eso pensamos que el slogan de campaña de la mujer del presidente tiene mucho de verdad y que los argentinos debemos estar atentos -y “no perder la memoria”, como machaca constantemente el matrimonio presidencial- al ingresar al cuarto oscuro el próximo octubre. El cambio recién empieza.



The change has just begun

Cristina has chosen a curious campaign slogan. The same thought natives and foreigners when, at the end of the 50’s, shortly before the Revolution to overthrow Fulgencio Batista’s regime, unconditionally supported Fidel Castro and his guerrillas.

Yet none of them could imagine –not even the Cubans- what would happen immediately afterwards, i.e. the degradation of the revolutionary aims and the actual intentions of Castro and his gang: power hoarding, the people’s infamous subjugation to a marxist-leninist regime and the ambition of staying indefinitely in office.

Little by little the island turned into a huge jail in which millions of human beings began to get used to resign their individual rights –and frequently to lose their own lives- unable to defend the most elemental rights.

Currently, the most pathetic case is that of Hilda Molina, the physician whose departure of the country is denied by the Cuban rulers on the argument that her brain “belongs” to the Cuban state. Even though this might sound “reasonable” it is impossible to understand why Hilda’s mother, Hilda Morejón, 88 and in a wheel chair, is also denied the “permission” to leave the island in order to visit her family in Argentina, since in her case the Cuban regime does not claim to be the “owner” of any part of her anatomy.

The Caribbean “paradise” is nowadays a place hard to reach for foreigners and hard to leave for natives, unless getting a “permission” from those who decide on the life and death of anyone living in the island. Ironically, however, hundreds of Cubans have preferred to die drawned in the sea or eaten by the sharks instead of staying in Castro’s “paradise”.

The relationship between Cuban and Argentina can be referred to as significant and long-dated. From the beginning of the regime, in the 60’s, there were Cuban task forces working for subversive interests in the north of the country. They were called “Uturuncos”. Infiltration went on slowly but increasingly till the bloodshed of the 70’s, when the ERP and Montoneros, trained and financed by Castro, intended to deploy the revolution throughout the region.

In 1973 Héctor J. Campora became Argentina’s new president. In his inauguration the presence of Osvaldo Dorticós, the Cuban president (Fidel Castro had retained for himself the title of “prime minister”) was a significant fact, since Campora’s arrival to power with Dorticós by his side meant the beginning of the end: hundreds of terrorists, who had been legally put in jail, were freed.

Ten years later, Raúl Alfonsín, president-elect, decided to “lend” Castro the money of the Argentine people: 1.400 million dollars that neither returned to us nor were used to relieve the Cuban people’s misery.

Twenty years after, in May 2003, president-elect Kirchner began his approaches to the national and international Left. Thus, former terrorists became officials in all instances of power, “mothers” and “grandmothers” began to roam the halls of the Government’s House while ‘advicing’ the president on a variety of matters and the minister of Defense fulfilled her task of dismembering the remnants of the Armed Forces.

Therefore we wonder which is the change that has just begun.
The predominance of right-oriented administrations in today’s Europe may mean significant “squeezings” to the national Economy. Likewise Cristina’s ambition of becoming a sort of “recycled Evita” would not allow her to turned too much to the left.

Nevertheless, there is something certain: we shall go on suffering the pressure of her ancient subversive partners, those true disciples of Ernesto Guevara de la Serna, ‘Che’, Fidel’s long-term right-arm who once outstandingly depicted the ideology behind them: “Hatred as the fighting element, unyielding hatred for the enemy, hatred driving beyond the natural limits of the human being and turning him into an efficient, selective, cold killing machine. Our soldiers must be like that: any people without hatred cannot vanquish a brutal enemy.”

The president’s wife slogan seems intrinsically deceitful. The Argentines must be wide-awake –and keep alive our memories- since the next October election is coming closer and the change might have just begun.
